Paintball VS. BATTLE !! .. with CASUALTIES !!
Paintball has been on the boys' minds for a while now. They've already tried indoor laser tag and wanted something "closer to the real thing". I've warned them about the physical hazards with high pressure propelled paintballs.
As we were planning to travel to Malacca to visit some friends there, Jared did his research on places he could visit while we are there and this place immediately caught his attention.
Flashpoint Paintball Park is only a short drive away (20 mins) from Malacca town central, but it is in the midst of a village and we did not find an apparent signage pointing to the entrance. We had to drive into the village, and the park was just right behind a village house next to a local mosque. If you use Google Map, navigating to the currently marked location will take it right to the entrance. If needed, you can find the address and location at the end of this blog.
The park is operated by a group of passionate paintball professionals who frequently compete in tournaments. As we were completely new to the game, the owner has kindly reduced the air pressure of the guns and also made sure that we go through a comprehensive safety briefing. We were also provided with protective gear, that came in sizes for both the adults and the young boys.
The ammunition was made from paint, as the name of the game implies. We were told that the paint was made from non-toxic ingredients found in edible food products. However, it is still dangerous if there was a direct hit on the eye so we have to make sure our protective masks are put on all the time.
The young brothers couldn't wait to challenge each other to their first VS. BATTLE !! We didn't plan for any casualties but the full force of paintball reality kicks in pretty soon ...
We've recorded the VS. BATTLE on video, please check it out and don't forget to comment, like and subscribe to our channel on YouTube.
