Clip 'n Climb: Tampines Hub - First Experience

Over the weekend, we went to Clip 'n Climb at the new Tampines Hub. It is a new indoor climbing theme park. When we arrived, I was surprised by the tall climbing walls that has different patterns on them which is rather unique from other rock climbing walls I tried earlier.

There are many other eager climbers, children and adults alike, in our climbing session. We were briefed of safety, and were secured by a safety harness, which is then hooked on to two carabiners attached to a safety rope.

I first climbed a tall rope ladder, but got a little nervous when I had to get back down. As I let go of my hands, it turned out to be quite easy as the rope belaying system lowers me down gradually.

I tried a few other walls including the Skyscraper and Lightning, and some were really hard like the Beanstalk and Morse Code which are rated 3-carabiners for the highest difficulty. I also climbed the Dry Ice which require the use of two wooden "ice picks".

I had a lot of fun, but before we knew it, our 90-minute session was over.  I am totally looking forward to going back there again, as I have really enjoyed it. If you wish to visit this place, you might want to bring gloves.
